His Excellency the newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and the Pacific, Dr Amjad Abu Al-Ezz, received a delegation from the Board of Gaza Association Australia at his official residence in Canberra on Monday, 6 April 2026.

Ambassador Abu Al-Ezz is considered one of the new diplomatic figures in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and the Pacific, having recently assumed his duties last week, in a move that reflects the strengthening of Palestinian diplomatic presence in the country.

During the meeting, the Ambassador welcomed the delegation and emphasized the important role of Arab communities in general, and the Palestinian community in particular, in supporting shared causes and strengthening social ties.

The meeting was held in a positive atmosphere, marked by introductions and an exchange of views on opportunities for future cooperation.

For their part, the association members expressed their appreciation for the warm reception, affirming their commitment to building an ongoing relationship with the embassy that serves the Palestinian community and enhances joint efforts.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue coordination and hold regular meetings in the coming period, with the aim of developing cooperation frameworks and strengthening communication between both parties.
